I have an end user, a partner in the company, and i had to completely reformat his computer about 2 weeks ago when he was on vacation because is notorious for getting viruses. And I had this one that just wouldn't behave so i decided to wipe and start all over.
Since his return, and stress of upcoming work, his outlook is terrible. Runs slow, lags when scrolling down through email, takes forever to open emails and attachments. However, as soon as i show up the problem is gone and everything seems to be running fine.
I've looked in the event viewer and only seen one event hang for outlook in the last week. Any ideas on what tools i can use to help track information that will be helpful? I have used performance monitor built into windows before for something else, should i try that? What exactly should i have that setup to monitor?
His system:
Dell machine a couple years old
1.5 gb ram
Win XP Pro SP3 with latest updates
Outlook 2003 with latest updates
A/V software: Vipre schedule to run at night
