Hi,

I am running outlook 2007 connected to SBS 2003 exchange on a Windows VISTA client. Since last couple of days I am continually getting following errors:
- When moving at item: Cannot move the items. Your server administrator has limited the number of items you can open simultaneously. Try closing messages you have opened or removing attachments and images from unsent messages you are composing.
- When Opening sent items or folders other than Inbox: Cannot display this folder. Your server administrator has limited the number of items you can open simultaneously. Try closing messages you have opened or removing attachments and images from unsent messages you are composing.
- When opening notes or other users calender: same error as above.

I have already tried restarting my PC and SBS 2003 server and didnt make any difference.

I have also made registry changes as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830829 but still no difference. Your help is much appreciated.

Hi,
add this registry entry on the server as recommended by MS Support and  
the problem will goaway:  
 
Disable the session limit by setting the following value to 1  
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControl Set\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem  
Value: Disable Session Limit

Hi ahmedabdelbaset and greenhacks,

I do not see the value "Disable Session Limit" in the specified registry location. Do I simply create one? If yes what type does it need to be?

Yes create if it does not exist. you will have to restart the services.

I created the registry entry and restarted following services on the server:
- Microsoft Exchange System Attendant
- Microsoft Exchange Information Store
- Microsoft Exchange MTA Stacks
- Microsoft Exchange Management
- Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine

But still outlook is behaving the same way.

I installed the hotfix, restarted the PC but it didnt make any difference.

I would appreciate it if you could test the non-cached mode using the following method; otherwise I believe you are still working in cahced mode.
 
To do this:
Inside Outlook: Tools>Account Settings, then click on "Change" button for the exchange account.  You will see "Change email account"  dialog.   There is a checkbox for "Use Exchange Cached mode", uncheck this box and restart Outlook.

I was working on non-cached mode. But to allow you instructions, I changed the outlook mode to cached and then back to non-cached. None of the changes made a difference.

HI ahmedabdelbaset,

Thank you for your support. It turned out one of the addins was interfering with standard outlook operation. I have now disabled this add-in.

Just for someone else reading this post. While disabling add-ins run it under administrative priviledges otherwise you wont be able to disable the add-ins installed for all users.
