I ask as this is for a mailbox thats not monitored by anyone.

Hi, OdyChris.
The only rule action for replying to a message is "reply using a specific template". That action sends a predefined message back to the sender. There's no way to attach the original mail to it. I looked at one of the 3rd-party rules engines, MAPILab's "Rules for Exchange", and they don't offer the action you need either. I can do it at the client with a bit of scripting, but that won't meet your requirement of a "server-side rule".
