Either, as status above, your profile could be corrupt... or you may be synchronising to something with a problem.
ACT! doesn't have this problem unless sync issues, which are usually related to setup

I am synchronizing to my BlackBerry Storm software. I started out sync'ing on my home and work computers, but removed the work computer by setting up a remote connection so I sync only to one computer now.
If I created a new Outlook profile, would I lose any information, or access to it? What are the results of doing that (good or bad)? And, GL indicated setup causing problems... what is a common setup scenario that causes problems?
So, there's not a thing I can do about that, then? What should a person do to avoid all that (beyond not sync'ing in 2 places)? In other words, Does sync'ing in general cause this, and if so, what steps can I take to ensure the integrity of my contact data? Is there a strategy that limits the damage?
Not sure... it's more that I've noticed it recently, when I open contacts that used to have information stored, and now have all the info like phone numbers, but none of the notes I've put into their history. Or, worse yet, the contact no longer seems to exist.
So, in short, I synchronize my BB with my Outlook, so if the contact is gone in Outlook, I presume it's gone from the BB, too, as that seems to be the case.

Just check this by creating new outlook profile. I suspect that your outlook profile is corrupt.
