Hi - ok, I have an idea, but it's really thinking out-of-the-box and I need some additonal information.
Some questions - would there be more than one teacher booking a laptop per calendar, or is it a 1-to-1 relationship (one teacher, one laptop, per calendar)?
And, how was that "calendar" created? Is it a Resource?
The basics of my idea are to create the calendar as a Resource, not allow duplicate "meetings" and then block the 4+ weeks off with a dummy meeting that gets removed as the time gets closer and it's say, 3 weeks out now. The laptop would not be able to be scheduled beyond the 4 weeks because of the dummy meetings, and would be available as the weeks roll by.
The part I have not figured out is how to automate the removal of the future dummy appointments, and that could possibly be manual (not ideal) or able to be accomplished by vba. Or, the future dates could be blocked by a weekly recurring meeting that someone would need to remove manually, but just once per week, in a quick fashion, and then that whole week would be open for bookings.
Would that work?
