outlook 2003 task view

In a tasks folder, how do I add the field below the column headings for "click here to add new task"? I have looked thru a bunch of settings but have been unable to find it.

my question is: how to get the bar visible. it is for other users, not for myself. what i found is this too: View-> Current View-> Customize Current View-> button Other Options...->
option Show new item row. But, I am in outlook 2003 ad even tho this solution was written for 2003, the menu choices are different and I don't see "other options" I have other settings which i have looked at and it is not the same. I don't have the "click here to add new task" row which is what i am looking for.

Have you tried Reset Current view?
Have you got the latest SP?
Did you try Help>Detect & Repair?

I have done the reset current view, I have sp3. I don't think it is a repair issue because I have several task folders, some have it, some do not. I am trying to test this on one that does not and cannot find the setting. I know it is a setting, but cannot find it.

I found it. t'll close out the questions while i'm still blissful of finding the setting that i knew was there somehere. thanks for your help.

When you're in task view and you right click on the bar with the column headings then goto customize current view do you see the "Other Settings" button? In that menu at the top right side there should be a check box for Show "new item" row.
