Whats the Solution for correcting Windows XP Professional Windows Explorer Hang Ups ?

Having a lot of problems with Hangs Up of my Windows XP Prof Explorer...

Hi,

Everytime I right click on my Start Tab and click on Explorer it pops up and
hangs for about 30 seconds and then it shows all my Network Drives.
After it stops hanging up,,, it works fine until I don't use it for a while
and then it Hangs Up again..

Can anyone out there provide a solution fix for this problem..

I've tried everything from applying windows XP to applying Registry
clean. Nothing works...

If you physically disconnect your workstation from the network (by disconnecting the network/ethernet cable), does that "solve" the problem?  If so, the delay may be caused by the machine trying to connect to a network resource that is unavailable, but taking a while to time out before giving up.

If that is the case, you may want to check your mapped network drives, and make sure that each mapping is pointing to a network drive that actually exists on your network.
