Roaming profile locks account on SBS2003

Asked by aweltner in Outlook Groupware Software

Tags: roaming profile password locked

One user in a network which uses roaming profiles continually gets locked out. Once the account is removed from the local workstation, the account details MANUALLY deleted from the workstation, the account unlocked at the server console, as well as roaming profiles disabled, everything works. If I don't disable the roaming profile, it gets downloaded and we're back to square one.

Is there a way to easily track what is locking up the profile so that I can reenable the roaming profile?

Fortunately this user doesn't move around much, and I could recover his documents, desktop settings etc, from a cache I created on the machine, but I do want the option of roaming profiles, as well as the backup up the desktop.
