Outlook 2010 Saving Sent Email to Shared Mailbox Sent Folder
Hi
We have a shared mailbox that several users have access to. We want emails that are sent from the shared mailbox to be saved in the "Sent Items" of that mailbox
Currently the users send emails from the mailbox and they show as "Sent on behalf of...."
If I try to manually "save sent item to" before sending I get this error:
"The folder you have selected is not a subfolder of the default store"
Setup:
Outlook 2010
Exchange 2007

Thanks I've tried that,
I changed the From field to the shared mailbox and sent a test email
Still goes to my sent item
Tried it again this time going to options and then "save sent to" and selected the shared mailboxes sent folder
It didn't appear there afterwards nor is it in my own sent items

Did you open the Shared Mailbox and from there click New Mail? You should not have to put the mailbox name in the From: field...
As a test, reply to an existing mail in the Shared mailbox...Let me know what happens.

Hi
Tried replying to an email already there and still no luck
When I launch outlook it just lists the mailboxes, even if I click on the shared one and select new email I have to change the TO field
Do I need to create a new outlook profile?

@ ninjatek:
Yes the from pull down menu is populated but seems to always default to my own
@CanusRufus:
I can't see a way to create a mail rule for sent Items, and this needs to apply for all users

Thanks for the replies,
It's not something thats urgent enough for us to want to go messing with the registry at this moment.
Haven't found a solution but it's not that urgent, thanks for both sets of replies

Have a look at this link, it describes what you need to do:
http://blogs.office.com/b/microsoft-outlook/archive/2009/08/25/multiple-exchange-accounts-in-outlook-2010.aspx
Note: you have to add it from Control Panel\Mail
Pre-Outlook 2010 you would have to use 3rd party software.
