550 5.7.1. Message rejected because of RBL policy (state 13)

Very occassionaly senders to our e-mail domain get this message. Recently we have had it from GoogleMail.com and Yahoo.com. We calculate that 99.9998% of the rest of the mail gets through.

If I test our IP against

http://www.anti-abuse.org/multi-rbl-check-results/?host=A.B.C.D

we get a completely clean bill of health.

Any ideas what I need to test next and if I need to contact Google or Yahoo how do I do so?

Many thanks as always.

p.s. I put this under Outlook as couldn't see in the new structure where to put an Internet e-mail delivery problem. This might need reclassifying.

Try looking here: http://www.mxtoolbox.com/   May show different results.
Once try sending mail from OWA and see whether you are facing this error or not.
Test the same through MXToolbox and also make sure that you are not blacklisted at Gmail end.

You have to start from here :

Nice app. MXToolbox gave our primary and the rest a clean bill of health, although Gmail didn't appear on the lists (was it meant to?).

I'll start to work my way through the Google heirachy, any ideas on how you are allowed to converse with Yahoo?

Re testing through OWA is that running OWA on a different domain and attempting to send or on the domain that has the issue.
If SENDERS to your domain get rejected, then it is their IP's you should be examining, not yours.

Is this a problem of you sending and getting rejected, or people sending to you and getting rejected?
People sending to us and getting rejected.
Okay - so there is no need to check your ip address as it will be the senders up address that is on the blacklist.

Have you checked their IP on www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx and www.blacklistalert.org
