Deleted Intenet Calendar Keeps Reappearing
Hi,
I am having problems with an internet calendar that just won't go away. I use Outlook 2007 and starting about 10 days ago I was get the following error message every time I hit Send/Receive:
Task 'Internet Calendar Subscriptions' reported error (0xC8304005). The file 'SBLL Events' is not a valid internet calendar.
SBLL events is for a little league and they shut down their calendar.
ve3ofa showed me where to go to delete it - control panel, mail, Email Accounts, then the internet Calendar tab
I followed the instructions and the error went away. The problem is that it came back a few days later! We use SBS 2003 with Outlook. Is SBS or Exchange somehow restoring this Internet Calendar after I delete it? I also have two computers that are used to access these email accounts. They are usually not on at the same time. Do I need to delete this calendar from both computers?

I have an update - I checked my SBS 2003 Services and found the following service set to Automatic that was not running:
SQLAgent$SBSMONITORING
I started this service, closed out of Outlook 2007, then started O2007 normally. On the lower right it showed Connected to Server (before it showed disconnected). I hit Send and Receive and did not get any errors. I am cautiously optimistic that this solved the problem. I will continue testing this am. Would the /cleansharing switch turn off this service?
I recently rebooted the servers and did have an error about some services not starting. I was going to look into that when I got distracted by this Calendar fix.

That service has nothing at all to do with Exchange, so starting the service did not fix your problem. Furthermore, I'm assuming you ran the /cleansharing on the workstation not the server, so again, this could not at all affect a service running on your server.
If you continue to have any problems with Outlook, I would HIGHLY suggest that you delete your .ost file and let Outlook rebuild it. The .ost file is merely a cache of your mailbox which is stored on the server and it is not a critical file. If you are the least bit hesitant about this, then just move or rename the file, however generally it can be quite large and you may not have enough space on your current drive for it.

The reason I say this is that the OST file is currently on a network drive as opposed to a local drive. There are several nuances to my installation, which I will describe in another question. It would be great if you would respond to that question once it is posted.

Definitely post a question about that because you do NOT want an .ost file to reside on a network drive.

So I checked here: control panel, mail, Email Accounts, then the internet Calendar tab
Sure enough, the calendar was there. I deleted it and then closed Outlook. I started it using command line with the /cleansharing switch. All seemed to work well - I checked the Calendar tab and it did not come back. Now when I hit Send Receive I get another error at the end that seems more severe:
"Microsoft Exhnage reported error (0x8004011D). The server is not available."
The SBS server is available. Did the /cleansharing switch do something to the Exchange or OST settings?
