Freeze up on reply Outlook

I have a problem with one user.
He always complains that every once in a while his machine locks up or has a long delay when he goes to reply to an email. Sometimes he even has to close Outlook. We were on a Cloud based email system but this along with some other issues we have switch back to Exchange 2010. But even after the switch back it still doing it. I suspect it is his computer but I have run a Virus scan and found nothing. It is a fairly fast system. HP Workstation Z220 - E3-1240 V2 CPU with 4GB of RAM and an Intel 530 240GB SSD.
What should I look for and how should I test? I am thinking the CPU is getting hard pressed and causing some delay but by the time i get there everything seems fine. The worst part is he is the Boss. He really hammers his machine he works on may things at once and he is going constantly. He says it happens at least 10 times a day.

Hardware
HP Workstation Z220 - E3-1240 V2 CPU with 4GB of RAM and an Intel 530 240GB SSD
Windows 7 64
Gig Network connection
Outlook 2013 (Cache mode)
SBS 2011 Exchange 2010.

Any help would be most appreciated.

for the following reason:

I think the disabling the plugins did it.
@RickEpnet  - Disabling the plug-ins is the solution I gave. I do not think you can close it claiming is as your solution. Thanks.
That was not my intention. New interface I guess I click on the wrong link.
@RickEpnet - Thank you very much. I more or less assumed you clicked on the wrong link. Thanks again.
