The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Hi All,

I've been having a problem at a client where their Outlook Anywhere seems to work some of the time and then other times it just won't connect for me. It makes no sense.

I went to https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ and got hte following result:
_______________

Testing TCP Port 443 on host mail.***.co.za to ensure it is listening and open.
  The port was opened successfully.
 Testing SSL Certificate for validity.
The certificate passed all validation requirements.
   Test Steps
   Validating certificate name
  Successfully validated the certificate name
   Additional Details
Found hostname mail.***.co.za in Certificate Subject Common name

 Validating certificate trust
Certificate is trusted and all certificates are present in chain
   Additional Details
The Certificate chain has be validated up to a trusted root. Root = CN=Equifax Secure Global eBusiness CA-1, O=Equifax Secure Inc., C=US

Testing certificate date to ensure validity
Date Validation passed. The certificate is not expired.
   Additional Details
  Certificate is valid: NotBefore = 4/23/2008 9:07:54 AM, NotAfter = 5/24/2010 9:07:54 AM"

Testing Http Authentication Methods for URL https://mail.***.co.za/rpc/rpcproxy.dll
  Http Authentication Test failed
Tell me more about this issue and how to resolve it
   Additional Details
Initial Anonymous HTTP(s) request did not fail but Anonymous is not a supported Authentication Method for this scenario
 _______________

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Regards,
Dane
