iNotes login will not authenticate

I have made many inotes accounts and all have worked but one which I'm struiggling with.

I have so far (in this scenario) 3 i notes accounts

e0101
e0102
e0103

01, when I created it and registered it all seemed fine.  I created all 3 accounts at once.  When I go to login to the 01 through iNotes the login screen just pops back up again, over and over.

This happened with the 02 and 03 accounts at one point so I deleted them and recreated them and that seemed to fix the problem.  I have recreated the account over and over after deleting the e0101.nsf and e0101.id files off of the server.  Any help would be appreciated.

The issue isn't teh ID file, it is some web login issue. I would open up the ($Users) view and see if I have multiple entries for e0101.

Other questions:

Is e0101 the actual name of the account?  What did you put in first name, middle, last?  What values are currently there and in Full Name? What is the short name?

Is the user also entering just the text E0101 as the user name in the browser?

Do you use session authentication or basic authentication?

Create a non-iNotes database.  Set default access to reader, and anonymous access to no acess.  Put in the database's URL in teh browser, you shoudl be prompted to log in.  Whathappens when you log in using the problem account?

ASKER

e0101 is the name of the account.
At first I had e0101 as the entire last name.
Now i have e as the first name and 0101 as the last name.
This made no difference.

Just the text e0101 as the user name, that is what works for all the rest

We use basic Authen

What do you think about deleting the account now, and in the morning rebooting the sever (i'll be in anyway) and adding the account back the same way I have done them all in the past?

If we are out of inotes licenses, would this happen?  I don't think we are out but it is an idea?

Well
I deleted the id nsf and the name in the list and waited an entire day to add it back.  I added it back and the only thing different I did was instead of setting the new password from "0" to 1, "not to secure..., versus none" it works.  I don't know if it was the password thing or leaving it totally off the server for an entire day.  Maybe letting the database flush it out or something.

Resolved but any comments?
Well, the Domino web server does cache credentials, but usually only for a few minutes.
