The .OND file is the result of a message that was sent from a Lotus Notes 4x user intended for another Notes 4x user. The sender specifically directed that the message recipient was another Notes user and the .OND is the resulting message in an encapsulated "Notes to Notes over SMTP" format.

There is a workaround available (see reference above) but the workaround requires the Notes client (and I'm guessing that you as an Outlook user don't have one handy??). So ... your best bet is to ask the sender to resend the message without the "Notes to Notes over SMTP" setting.

Fact is I have no idea what file extension it is, I also couldn't find it here:

What you might try: open it like a text file with word pad. It will probably really look weird, but sometimes in the first lines you might find the application.
Also, why not asking the person who send you the file ? If you don't know the person you should anyhow consider if it is a good idea to open it.
