Probably you should have a field called Body on your form, rename that to something else like tempBody.

by: oosterbaanPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:14:12ID: 5970974

No...I don't have a Bodyfield on it...

I think it has something to do with the @MailSend function. I have found a example of a document with the same purpose. This example was working, until I have changed the LotusScript code, which was responsible for sending the document, with the @MailSend function.
After I have changed this, this example wasn't working anymore...

Greetings,

Bob

Post the code, let me see it !

by: oosterbaanPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:26:42ID: 5971023

When I use this LotusScript code instead of @MailSend, it's working fine...

Sub Click(Source As Button)
     Dim ws As New NotesUIWorkspace
     Dim uidoc As NotesUIDocument
     Dim doc As notesdocument

     Set uidoc = ws.CurrentDocument
     Call uidoc.Save
     Set doc = uidoc.document
     Call doc.send(True)
     Call uidoc.Save
     Call uidoc.close
End Sub

by: oosterbaanPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:29:46ID: 5971033

When I take a look at the script, it is saving the document first, before it is send. When I use the @MailSend function, I don't save it first...

Can this be the reason ?

by: HemanthaKumarPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:33:38ID: 5971043

Use @Command([MailSend]) Instead.

@Mailsend, will format message when it sends, it uses fields of the form to format.

by: snocrossPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:33:47ID: 5971044

Are you using just @MailSend by itself (In which case you must include a SendTo field on the form) or are you adding parameters to the @MailSend command?

by: snocrossPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:35:18ID: 5971047

Heman, that will display the MailSend dialog box where he will have to manually enter the recipient, maybe he wants this automatic.

by: HemanthaKumarPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:38:32ID: 5971052

True,
But that can be controlled by hidden display fields for Sign and Encrypt and set it to "0"

by: oosterbaanPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:39:55ID: 5971055

So I need to use @Command([MailSend]) instead of using @MailSend ?

by: snocrossPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:42:56ID: 5971063

You shouldn't have to, I use @MailSend function all the time, that is why I ask you if you are using parameters?

by: HemanthaKumarPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:43:11ID: 5971065

yeah !

by: oosterbaanPosted on 2001-03-29 at 12:50:01ID: 5971083

No, I'm not using parameters, just plain @MailSend triggered by an action button with on the form a SendTo field (and some other fields that are not relevant),BUT...

Just like I've said before... when I take a look at the LotusScript version of the "Send" button, Do you have to save the document before sending it ?

Greetings,

Bob

by: HemanthaKumarPosted on 2001-03-29 at 13:08:31ID: 5971142

script always demands save before sending !

by: tgebruikPosted on 2001-03-29 at 13:30:06ID: 5971209

You could check the $Title  field in the document you send by checking the properties

by: tgebruikPosted on 2001-03-29 at 13:35:25ID: 5971224

Also very important to check if the receiving database has the option "Allow use of stored forms in this database" enabled by also checking the database properties

by: snocrossPosted on 2001-03-29 at 13:41:36ID: 5971243

Ahh, good point tgebruik!  I bet that's it!

It's nice to know what the answer was to your problem....

by: oosterbaanPosted on 2001-05-29 at 00:42:39ID: 6131779

You can send the form using @MailSend, but you need to save the form before sending it.....
