How to pull data from SQL into a view in Lotus Notes

Hello all,

I'm after some advice and guidelines....

I'm wanting to pull SQL data into a Lotus Notes database every day (let's say at 12:00pm)

I need this information within Notes so that I can use it for form lookups etc.
I want it to be pulled in every day to keep the lookups up to date.
Holding all the info. in Notes is not an option (The SQL database can not be converted to be purely a Notes database) therfore I don't want to push any info. pulled from SQL tables back to the SQL tables.

However, I also need to schedule automatic export to Excel from Notes. - This will be the data imported from SQL tables + info. entered into fields within Notes. (So basically the whole view that will be created)

How can all this be done?
Is this possible without installing any additional packages onto the Domino Server?
NotesSQL? DECS? ODBC? etc...

What I'm after is the simplest and most effective way.

Please explain the processes as thoroughly as possible.
