"Can not locate Form: Memo"

Hi,

1. I have a client with the lotus notes 6.5,
2. He went to the main offices; i did not know what the "configuration" changes that have been made,
3. everytime he tries to open an existing email, there will be a message "Can not locate Form: Memo"; "Can not locate Default Form"
4. Any body can help ?

Try refreshing the design of the mail database of the user.

And ask him/her to clear the cache.dsk. If the problem still exists.. Analyze and let me know what is different in his db properties !

1. I have replaced the design, but did not work

2. What do you mean by clearing the cache.dsk (It means that i have to search for the cache.dsk and delete it ?; And what it the risk of deleting it ?)

In R 6.5 it is cache.ndk and it is in the Notes data directory.

Notes must be closed.

It recreates a new one so no risk.

I would also check the location doc the user is using and make sure that it is correct, also his default ail server.

What do you mean by "2. He went to the main offices; i did not know what the "configuration" changes that have been made"?
Is this a standard lotus notes mailbox or a custom made db with mail-in functionality?
Does the rest of the database look that whay it's supposed to, or could a mail database be replaced with a design from another template?
I remember having one case where a (corrupt) design element could not be replaced by a correct one; not even after deletion. We copied the design element inside the template, renamed both to get rid of the "Copy of..." and tried again. Perhaps a similar manouvre on your database works...?
Do check in the design if the template has a form "Memo"!
