The IMG SRC is probably not pointing to a valid image file.  Check that the image exists in the specified location.  An easy way to test the HTML signature is to open it in a web browser like IE.

Under the comment box (on this page)  there is a checkbox with "Attach Code Snippet" next to it. Check that box and another text field will appear underneath. Past the HTML in there.

Ok.  That's your problem.  MS Word is the worst html editor around.   The Notes client will never understand all of those proprietary tags and styles.

You need to keep the HTML simple.  Use Notepad, and use this code as a starting point.  Place the image file in the same folder as the html file.

<html><body link="#264078" alink="#264078" vlink="#264078">
<div style="color:#264078; font-family:arial; font-size:9pt;"><br>
<div style="color:#264078; font-family:arial; font-size:10pt; font-weight:bold;">
<hr>YOUR NAME</div>
YOUR TITLE<br>
COMPANY NAME<br>
Phone: YOUR PHONE<br>
<img src="YOUR_IMAGE.GIF" style="border: 0"><br>
<br>
</div>
</body></html>

Your image source is listed as

Claude%20Constantinescu%20Lotus%20Notes%20Signature_files/image001.jpg in a lot of places.

Get rid of the %20's and replace them with /'s

by: suns0ftPosted on 2008-01-08 at 14:22:05ID: 20613602

Sorry I read your code wrong, ignore my above post.

by: ClaudeluPosted on 2008-01-08 at 14:24:11ID: 20613623

I don't know about the source. I created the file in Microsoft Word 2003, inserted an image and save it as a web page, however the image does not show in Lotus Notes

by: suns0ftPosted on 2008-01-08 at 14:24:35ID: 20613630

Ok this might actually help you though ;).

The only way your image file will appear using this method is if the folder

"Claude Constantinescu Lotus Notes Signature_files" is in the same folder as the HTML file. If it's not, you need to change the URL to reflect this.

by: Bill-HansonPosted on 2008-01-08 at 14:29:34ID: 20613681

Claudelu,

Did you even read my comment above?  You can't use MS Word to create a signature file for Notes.  Read my post (#20613457).  We've been using this format at my organization for about 5 years.

by: ClaudeluPosted on 2008-01-08 at 14:36:27ID: 20613737

Bill-Hanson, I used your template, and everything is fine except for the image. I have everything in C:\Program Files\Lotus\Notes\Data. I am using a jpeg file. When I say New Memo, no image shows, but if I right click on the x and say replace image and select the same image, then it shows!!!

by: ClaudeluPosted on 2008-01-08 at 14:41:20ID: 20613770

When I use a gif image it works

by: suns0ftPosted on 2008-01-08 at 14:43:25ID: 20613782

Bill,

Word might be a pain, but it still outputs valid HTML. His problem is that his image is not appearing, which is more likely to do with the file path.

I WOULD recommend changing the format to something less cluttered, but whats there should work.

Below is a replica of your current sig file but a lot more compact - keep in mind it still wont work unless image path is fixed.

I did it in Notepad and it works... one more question, how do I make the whole signature italic?

by: suns0ftPosted on 2008-01-08 at 17:15:10ID: 20614692

All you need to do to make it italic is use the <i> tag

So in notepad, open your HTML file up and put it around the text you want italic.

<i>This text will be italic</i>
