Lotus Notes: Composing a document and passing a value

Okay, it's been over 5 years now since I had to use my Lotusscript skills, and something I thought would be very easy I have instead found that I have completely forgotten.

I cannot recall how to pass a field value to a document being opened for original composition.  Here is what I'm wanting to do:

I want my users to click a button and be presented with "EntryForm", a form asking some preliminary questions.  Upon answering these questions and clicking the "OK" button on that form, I want a new composition of another form called "NewEntry" to launch, and a computed subform on that form to be displayed based on a value chosen on the original "EntryForm."  I've tried all of the things that I think should have made that happen, such as creating the same field on the "NewEntry" form, choosing "Inherit...", making the "NewEntry" form a response document, etc, but to no avail. It's just  been too long for me.

Time is very much of the essence, so I'm giving a lot of points on this one.

Thanks to all who respond.Start Free Trial
