It will be at least another 2-3 years at a minimum. I do not even think that they have a date for this yet.

Also, what exactly do you mean as "support"? usually IBM carries two releases at the same time meaning that they develop new stuff and provide fixes for the current and previous major release. At this moment it is version 7.x and 8.x
However, you can still call IBM if you have issues with 6.5.x and perhaps 6.x  They will help you, but if it appears that you need a fix or a patch to address your issue, they will not going to do patch for 6.x or 6.5.x version. The patches and fixes will be provided for current versions 7.x and 8.x

There is an exception for this rule. If there is a (major) security issue with older version, then the fix will be provided anyway

For version 6.5 the release date was Nov. 2003, End of Support is announced Apr.30, 2009, so it's lifespan is hefty 5,5 years.

Version 7 came out in Oct, 2005, so the end of support is probably 2010-2011.
