There has to be a way, I know I am not the only one trying to do this. I need to send the contents of a document in an email ................
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI have a few forms that are used as templates. The user clicks on a button selects the template and they are presented with a dialog box. they enter the data into the dialog box which in turn populates the template/form. Currently what they do is copy and paste this into an email and send it off. I am trying to automate the process. I want to create a button on the template document "Create Email" this should in turn create a new mail memo with the data/content of the template document in the body of the email. Now the use just has to address it and send it off. Ideas?!?!? been struggling with this for a week! The @Command MailForward ALMOST does it except that it puts the content of the form under the disclaimer and adds the forwarding information such as the FW in the subject field. Does anyone know of a simple way to do this? Keeping in mind that the emails go out to non-note users. Second time asking this since the first was classified as abandoned....

The best solution is to create those templates in forms (which you are doing i think) and from the Form properties, select "Store form in document" option.
In the above form, you can create your own buttons and send it to non-notes users. The form will be shown as HTML.....give it a try.
explore on the above option...it should work. I may not visit this site quite often, u can give a try.
Best of Luck.
