How do I tell it to grab a particular filed from the view then open the form by that name?

Browse All TopicsExperts this may be simple but I cannot for the life of me figure this out. In a view in the notes client I want to have one of the columns be a link column, so that when a user clicks on one of those links it will open the form that corresponds to that entry. I've used this:
tmpValue := DocumentCode;
@Command([Compose];"Templa
@UpdateFormulaContext;
@SetField("Templates";tmpV
in an action button on the view but that seems to be to much clicking for the users. They want to click on the "Template" and have it opened directly from the view....Will in view edit work? There has to be a way....

Yes, InViewEdit will work. The view must be set to editable, an d all other conditions for an editable view must be met (see the Designer Help). In the code, set Continue to False, and decide what document and form to open.
