Hello Oracle and Lotus Notes Experts:
We are using both software for Specs and Purchasing. Our process is to have a supplier/vendor be approved in the Parts Specs db AML (Approved Manufacturer List) of Lotus Notes before we can add the vendor in Oracle ASL (Approved Supplier List).
The Purchasing policy is to place PO only to suppliers which are in AML and before you can place PO in Oracle, buyer needs to add the vendor in Oracle ASL.
However most of hte time, buyer cannot everytime check in Lotus Notes PArts Specs DB if the suppliers is in AML or not.
So our issue here is we want to have a link between Lotus Notes and Oracle. My idea is to have Oracle view the approved suppliers in AML of the parts that are in Lotus Notes db for the particular part number .
I am trying to get a complete answer in this question but only the possiblity and the lead to this questions. I am sure that probably LN or Oracle knows the answer but if some members in this EE community have experiene this issue, please share your experience and what process or method did your company use to resolve this issue.
