Browse All TopicsCan anyone tell me how I store e-mail addersses in Excel cells?
I get sent details of people, with their email adresses as part of the details, in some formats (sometimes Word, sometimes Notepad text etc.).
I then try to put the details into an Excel spreadsheet by using cut/paste.
The trouble is, when I paste in Excel, the email field "person@somewhere" is not copied as an address but comes out as text in the cell. I am getting sick and tired of having to make the data into a hyperlink by using CTRL-K and inserting "mailto:" before the actual text.
Q: How do I force the text to be an e-mail address without having to play about?
