but this apen's to every single file that i try to open.... not just one, i already unnistal and install office, i've doner fix and repair... everything that i know and still nothing :(

when I click twice in a xls file to open, it says that the path for the file is not valid and it does not open, I have to first open the excel and then with the Open command go to the directory, where the file is located, and then open it.
can you help me???

Try this:
Go to Explorer (windows Explorer)
Go to Tools/Folder options
Select Tab 'File Types'
Scroll down in the 'Registered File types list' till you find: .xls Microsoft Excel Worksheet' then click 'Advanced'
In list of actions select 'open' then click 'Edit'
Now check that 'Use DDE' is checked and make sure the following is filled in in the box 'DDE Message'
[open("%1")]
Now click ok a couple of times
Try to open a file by double-clicking again
Should be fine

Hello RukA,
Well there might be some problem with some registry settings. The simplest option i'll suggest is. Open the file using excel > Save as > To a different place
Now check if the file gets opened or not. If it does then DELETE the original file and copy the new one to its place rem* dont replace the file.
