The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

vba - SEND MAIL

Asked by sjvenz in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Software

I have code to send E-Mail to addresses and it used to work but I have since had to use this code to send another worksheet from the same work book. And now I'm having problems..It always gives an error at sh.copy. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it would be doing this now.

Sub mail()
    ' Hide Sheets
    Sheets("AbbotPoint").Visible = False
    Sheets("HayPoint").Visible = False

    Call Send_Mail

    Sheets("HayPoint").Visible = True
    Sheets("AbbotPoint").Visible = True
    Sheets("DBCT").Visible = True

End Sub

Sub Send_Mail()
    Dim sh As Worksheet
    Dim wb As Workbook
    Dim strdate As String
    Dim MyArrIndex As Long
    Dim E_Mail_Count As Long
    Dim cell As Range
    Dim MyArr() As String
    Application.ScreenUpdating = False
    For Each sh In ThisWorkbook.Worksheets
        If sh.Range("N3").Value Like "*@*" Then
            strdate = Format(Now, "dd-mm-yy h-mm-ss")

            E_Mail_Count = sh.Columns("N").Cells.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeConstants).Count
            ReDim MyArr(1 To E_Mail_Count)
            MyArrIndex = 1
            For Each cell In sh.Columns("N").Cells.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeConstants)
                If cell Like "*@*" Then
                    MyArr(MyArrIndex) = cell.Value
                    MyArrIndex = MyArrIndex + 1
                End If
            Next
            ReDim Preserve MyArr(1 To MyArrIndex)

            sh.Copy
            Set wb = ActiveWorkbook
            With wb
                .SaveAs "Sheet " & sh.Name & " of " _
                      & ThisWorkbook.Name & " " & strdate & ".xls"
                .SendMail MyArr, _
                          "DBCT Fax - Daily Schedule"
                .ChangeFileAccess xlReadOnly
                Kill .FullName
                .Close False
            End With
        End If
    Next sh
    Application.ScreenUpdating = True

End Sub
