Main Topics
Browse All TopicsHi, I was wondering how to use percentages on excel. Example: say I have the number 12 in one cell and a number 4 in the other cell, how can I get the % of that record which is 12-4. Obviously the answer is 75%, but how can I make the cell do it automatically?
Thanks for your time.

Hi,
Which cell do you need the result within?
Let's say:
A1=12
B1=4
Then set:
C1=((A1-B1)/A1)*100
PS. The answer is 2/3rds or 66.67%
Or maybe I misunderstood your requirement.
BFN,
fp.
