The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Dates Into Weeks

What type of setup would I need to create in order for excel to divide my data into calendar weeks?  Let me give you the story example.  I have a spreadsheet that users will input data into.  One of the columns in the workbook is where the users will enter a date (mm/dd/yyyy).  Another column in that same row will be where they will enter a unit number of sales.  Now, I have to be able to summarize the spreadsheet info by weeks (weeks are Monday through Saturday only).  So, if the dates in January, for example are between 1/3/05 through 1/31/05...I need to be able grab data from these dates and separate them into weeks: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.  So, that I can get the weekly sales totals for each of those weeks.  Is there a formula, or combination of them that will allow me to do this?  I'm not sure I want to go the pivot table route on this project.
