The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Wow.  Not sure what else I can say! 2 million points in Excel, in a year and a half.  Wow.  I debated reading through some of your messages looking for personal information to put into this question, like you always do for us.  But you've been in 4600 questions, I just don't have that kind of time!  You do have a little extra information at your profile page at vbax; for those here on EE who don't use that site, see his profile here: http://www.vbaexpress.com/forum/member.php?u=39

I can say that personally, before I was an 'expert' on this site and just learning Excel, when I came across a solution on here given by 'that byundt guy' that I didn't need to look further for similar questions to get the information I needed.  And the first few questions I asked, I hoped that you would be the one answering them (which you weren't, surprisingly).

No one here can say that they did not learn a lot from you!  Your incredible ability to build array formulas can often prevent an asker from having to use macros, but when that need arises your solution is quick and easy.

So again, congratulations, and thank you.  Your work and efforts here are invaluable!  And you're now the #10 expert for the entire site!!
