Browse All TopicsI have a financial spreadsheet and basically want to change a negative value into a positive one automatically. For example in column A I have a negative value of £-3000 (overdraft) and want to calculate the interest on this but this returns a negative value so when column B is totalled up it not only doesnt add up the interest but subracts it away from what it should be. If that makes any sense!

use the function abs() when evaluating the interest
b1 = abs(a1)
