Brad is charting new territory at 3 million Excel points and making it harder than ever to catch up to him. I have been trying for most of this year and managed to get only about 5,000 points closer. At this rate we’ll have “Trekkie” transporters and anti-gravity before any of us finally do catch him!
What can one say about Brad’s ascension into the stratosphere? We know Brad is feeling good right now – I found this exchange with an asker on one of the many questions he has nipped from under my feet:
Brad: Charlene, This question pushed me over three million points in Excel. The pleasure of helping is indeed mine!
Charlene: Do you win a prize? ;)
Brad: Nope. It's strictly self-actualization as they say in the managerial psychology classes. But I'm feeling pretty self-actualized right now, thanks to your question.
We all know how good Brad is answering questions in one quick and concise post so I won’t bore anyone with a regurgitation of his vanilla on-the-money answers (one asker once said that when Brad was around it was like "shooting fish in a barrel"). What I do want to acknowledge Brad for is his amazing ability to keep a cool and level head and create one of the best, if not the best, TAs on EE. He does so by keeping his posts clean and professional – clearly setting the tone and standard for the rest of us to follow, and by delicately editing those borderline posts by the rest of us that get just a wee bit out of hand.
On a final note, probably the thing we enjoy most about Brad is his dedication and commitment to this TA which is most evident in his congrats posts. With few exceptions he will wade though the hundreds of posts that have been made looking for just the right ones and then list them along with the most entertaining and spot on observations.
So, Brad, congratulations once again on reaching another milestone here in the Excel TA. It is truly an honor to be part of your team. Now, please take a long vacation (without your computer) and go fishing. It’s time.
