What is the best way to protect an Excel workbook?

I have an excel workbook I would like to distribute but not allow links, formulas, etc between internal sheets to be viewed without a password.  Is there a way to prevent the password recovery softwares from cracking my password?  I also would like to limit the ability for others to share copies of the workbook.  Does making the spreadsheet an add-in help with this?  Would using the tools in Visual Studio for Office offer any additonal protection?  I have not been able to get a definitive answer from the Microsoft online documentation.  Thanks in advance for any help with this.Start Free Trial
