Thanks for the quick responsce, the real critical factor here is that the save/close not take place until after the data refresh.
Does the: Me.Save, Me.Close acomplish this?
thanks!

Browse All TopicsI use the following to run a webquery when the workbook is openend. Because there is a lot of web data to pull sometimes it will take 10-15 for the updated data to be loaded into the workbook. Is there some code that I can add to my esisting code that will save the workbook (AFTER it has updated) and then close itself? Here is my existing code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Dim ws As Worksheet, qt As QueryTable, i As Long, sdate As String
sdate = Format(Date - 1, "yyyymmdd")
For Each ws In Me.Worksheets
For Each qt In ws.QueryTables
If qt.QueryType = xlWebQuery Then
i = InStr(qt.Connection, "ReportDate")
If i <> 0 Then
qt.Connection = Left(qt.Connection, i - 1) & "ReportDate=" & _
sdate & "&OOS=0"
qt.Refresh
End If
End If
Next qt
Next ws
End Sub
