Browse All TopicsI need to draw a formatted Excel sheet using VBA. I do not know until run-time how many columns or rows I will have but I do know the formats for sub totals, grand-totals, etc. I will be looping through the sheet and placing data based on data-driven logic.
Of two approaches what are the pros & cons of each:
(1) place each different formatted cell in a template sheet and copy/paste with formats where I need it.
(2) store the format data in public constants and use a select case
Example:
'(Approach 1)
If X > Y then
wksTemplate.Range("A1").Co
wksDestination.Range("D3")
End If
'(Approach 2)
If X > Y Then
FormatCell(wksDestination.
End If
FormatCell(wksDestination.
Select Case intFormatNumber
Case 1
wksdestination.borderstyle
wksdestination.backcolor=B
'etc
Or do you have a third approach?
