Browse All TopicsAfter a "holiday" from EE caused by a glut of work for his day job, Jaes came back sans his flowing locks to our Excel Zone, and quickly answered enough questions to earn a Sage certificate. As I reviewed his answers, one of their recurring features is the patience he displays with neophytes. He works with them patiently until the entire solution is correctly implemented, explaining the details as they go, and offering sample workbooks when appropriate.
And then there was this pearl in a recent question where Jaes explains why many of us keep coming back to EE:
"Thank you for your kind words. I would have to say that I have learned more on EE from answering questions than I ever did working on my own.
"I am an Expert here for the learning experience. I learn from other Experts and I learn by answering questions the likes I have never seen. These questions prompt me to think in ways that I could never do on my own." http:/Q_22422568.html

What is with all the Hair-ist remarks? Very bunny, indeed :) Or was that just hair-esy?
It is good, however, to see that you have not lost your super-human coding strength with a haircut.
But do not listen to the others. They are just jealous because you are still young enough to be able to grow your own.
Congratulations on another milestone, Jaes, and for showing us that you are still hair today, and going on, and on, tomorrow...
B[arber] For Now,

As I read your kind comments I notice that I am surrounded by Genius Experts. It is truly you guys that make me a better me when it comes to Excel!
Brad - For always having the 'right' answer.
Kevin - For finally getting me to cut my hair and shave my mustache. Can we be friends, yet?
Rory - For motivating me with your tireless efforts.
Jeroen - For keeping the place so nice and tidy.
Patrick A - For appreciating the advice of someone with less knowledge than your own.
Nigel - For your incredible British wit and keeping things lively all the way from Kent.
...and the other Genius members that have helped me along the way…
Patrick M - For occasionally working the database TAs so I can get a few more Excel points.
Jim - For your ability to show me a new simple way to accomplish a task.
Matt - For always being there when I have a programming question.
Wayne - For creating QuickEE. I downloaded it, does that count?
I have learned so very much in the past year and a half and continue to learn almost daily from both Experts and those that ask the questions. All of you have made me the Expert I am today and for this I thank you. I hope to someday be a Genius like the rest of you.
Kindest Regards,
Jaes
