Hello Experts:
Is it possible to use a text file to populate a dropdown list in Microsoft Excel?
To be more specific, I would like to create a macro that runs when the Excel workbook opens. The macro would open/read the text file, then populate a range of cells the same dropdown list.
I realize I can create the list inside the workbook, but without going into too many details, the text file will be simpler to edit by the end users.

The text file needs to opened with VBA code, then the code will populate a range of cells with the same dropdown list of choices. I wan't to avoid using the GUI (or Data / Import) in Excel to populate the dropdown list. I was wondering if it can be done in VBA.
To all, please ask questions if I'm not being clear.

I was looking for something like this. I would parse the text file to obtain the values.
You happen to know any good websites/links to find Visual Basic for Applications?It seems hard to find.....
