The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Inputting value in empty cells

Hi all,

Please have a look at the workbook on this link:(wait a coupple of seconds before download). EPG2.xls

http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/21781/EPG2-xls.html

In column A lies the time of the event.
In column B lies the duration of the event.
In column D I enter an event, and in column E I enter the event details.

Now as you can see in the workbook,  events do not occur at all times of the day.
So some time-frames are empty.

I would like to create a macro that places searches the sheet for empty time frames, therefore like D5 and E5.

In cell D5 i would like to place the string "Next Event: " and place the next event next to this string.

Therefore D5 and D6 should contain "Next event: ATP Tennis Masters Series Paris"

In cell E5 i would like to place the string  "(Event Detail) +Live @ " and place the time of the next event next to this string.

Therefor E5 and E6 would contain the string: "Day 4 Live - Live @ 11:00"

I would like this to be done for the rest of the events where applicable on the rest of the sheet.

Now if here are gaps of more one day or more like in the case of Sunday the 4th Nov and Monday the 5th Nov, I would like to place the string "Live -  "  and the date of the event next to it.

Therefore, cells D26 and E26 would contain

D26: "Next Event: Uefa Champions League"
E26: "Celtic v Benfica - Live November 6th"

Thanks,

Tom
