Excel Formula for calculating totals in colums

I have a spreadsheet that has columns of product IDs as they are ordered, however I need to create a total of each item.  If column A has:
0
0
WSS512
0
WSS3072
0
0
0
0
0
0
WSS512
WSS512
0
0
0
WSS3072
WSS3072
WSS5120
0

The objective would be to have the total # of WSS512 in B1, the total # of WSS3072 in C1, and the total # of WSS5120 in D1, etc.
