(BeforeClose event) I have been messing with the code for this and can't seem to figure it out without getting an error every time. Here the code I've been using, any help is appreciated :
Sub SaveFile()
Application.DisplayAlerts = False
'Save a temporary copy with a unique filename to prevent over writes
ActiveWorkbook.SaveCopyAs ("TEMP " & Format(Date, "mm-dd-yy") & ".xls")
Dim wb As Workbook
Application.ScreenUpdating
Set wb = Workbooks.Open("TEMP " & Format(Date, "mm-dd-yy") & ".xls")
' open the source workbook
With ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("S
' read data from the source workbook and create the tab delimited file
Worksheets("Staffing Forecast").SaveAs Filename:= _
"C:\output.txt", _
FileFormat:=xlTextWindows,
'Delete the temporary file
Kill "TEMP " & Format(Date, "mm-dd-yy") & ".xls"
End With
wb.Close False ' close the source workbook without saving any changes
Set wb = Nothing ' free memory
Application.ScreenUpdating
Application.DisplayAlerts = True
End Sub
