The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Isolating names from a sales list if the person has not had a sale in a certain time frame

Tags: Microsoft, Office - Excel, 2003
Experts,

I have a workbook that has some sales information (worksheet: Sales Data 01-2006 to 01-2008) and a list of agent names (worksheet: Correct Agent ID-Name).

What I want to do is on a new worksheet (output) list those names from (worksheet: Correct Agent ID-Name) which have not had a sale during a period of time (which I would like to be able to change, for instance 6 months, 08/01/2007 to 01/31/2008) which I have put into a 3rd worksheet (Sales Period of Interest).

On the first worksheet (Sales Data 01-2006 to 01-2008) column T (Submitted Date) is what I want to use to determine if an agent was active during the time period. The agents ID number is located in column A (Agent ID) of that same worksheet.

An example of what I want is rows 155:157 (Agent ID: 00403, Agent: Ralph Eagle) only had sales during 2006 (according to column T), thus I would like this name and agent ID put onto the output worksheet. Those that havent sold anything in the selected time period can then be contacted.

On the other hand, rows 158:162 (Agent ID: 00444, Agent David Guenther) had two sales during the time period listed above (cell T161: 11/26/2007 and cell T162: 12/18/2007), so his name would not appear on the output worksheet.

Finally I only want their names to appear once, thus using the worksheet (Correct Agent ID-Name) might be good as this list grows when new agents are added to the company.

Hope that is enough information!

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
Kevin
