How can I detect if VBA projects are password protected from binary file content?

I'd like to detect whether Word and Excel documents have password-protected VBA projects in them from the binary data (ie without using the application). Is there a way of doing this?
Note: I don't want to find the password, just to know whether there is password protection so hopefully this does not contravene EE guidelines on password cracking.Start Free Trial
