Browse All TopicsHi,
I am trying to create a simple line graph showing correlation between one variable and the result. If thrust increases distance increases. I have the following data:
Thrust Distance
5 6
9 9
14 12
22 16
I simply want thrust to be the x-axis and distance as y axis and a single line showing the correlation between the two. Everytime I try to chart this I get two separate lines with thrust and distance showing as legend.
How do I create a simple line graph showing one line correlation?
Thanks

Hello PaulSmith,
I did the following:
1) Copied labels and data into A1:B5 of a worksheet, and selected A1
2) Clicked the Chart Wizard icon on the toolbar
3) For chart type, selected XY Scatter, and hit Finish
4) AFter the wizard finished, I right-clicked on one of the data points, and selected Add Trendline.
For type, use Linear, on Options tab, check boxes for Set intercept=0, display equation, and
display R-squared
Regards,
Patrick
