I have included an excel template for this particular question. On the "QA sheet" tab, cells L12:Q12 represent QA standards for frames. As of now, I have set them to drop-down boxes so they can choose the quality of the particular QA process.
1. What I would really like to do however, is to change the cell into a checkoff box, so that the person managing the production process can just click on the cell and a "check" will appear for complete. Even better would be if I can click it once for a check to appear, and click it twice for a X to appear, though this might be quite a bit more complicated than just a single check box. Most importantly, I just want to know how to make it a check-box so its easy for the person to click it off for each inspection completed.
2. Cell D12 is a status column where depending on the status of the product, we need to change the value. Is there anyway to base it off cells L12:Q12, so that if none of the boxes are checked off we can switch the status to planned, but if we want to change the value to "complete", all the boxes need to be checked off in L12:Q12? If there is even one box that is not checked off, then the status cannot be changed to complete, and it will show as an error or maybe a red highlighted box. If there is only one box not checked off, then we can choose "conditional delivery", but not the complete status.
3. If the above question is not applicable and we cannot base the value of cell D12 on the values in L12:Q12, then can I work with the dropdown boxes so that if all of them is excellent, then we can choose complete, but if even one of them is just average or poor, then an error occurs or the cell changes to red if we choose complete in the status category?
Thanks for the help, this will really make it a lot more straight forward for whenever new employees join our team and do not understand the production process.
