rorya and saurabh726, I have tried both your suggestions repeatedly, figuring I've done something wrong. When I enter the Conditional Format info and click "OK" after choosing the format, the formula does not go into the selected cells. It's as if I've done nothing. How do I get the formula, once it's created, to go into the selected cells? I apologize for the excessive delay in following up. I have too much going on and not enough time to do it all. So, if you choose not to respond, I understand, and I'll withdraw the question. Thanks for your input.
saurabh726, I noted when I set up my question that I was a "Beginner." Therefore, I've got some juvenile type questions, regarding the solution. Does the $ cause the Conditional Formatting to be applied to every cell in the column? I presume, "No," since I just tried it, and it only worked for the cell where I created it. How do I apply the Conditional Format to several or all cells in a column, without having to recreate the formula for each individual cell? I tried copying and pasting, like you do in a non-conditional formula, but was unable to accomplish it that way. Thanks.
Fantastic!! Thanks so much for your help! This capability is going to save hours of work. Thank you both, saurabh and Rory. Now, for the awarding of points. Rory was the first responder. However, saurabh gave me the detail (example of a formula) I needed (as a beginner) to have an idea of how to create formulas in Conditional-Formatting. Would 300 points to saurabh and 200 to Rory be accetpable to the two of you? I'll wait for your responses, before I give the points. Thanks.

If you mean that the date equals today's date, then select the cell(s), choose Format-Conditional formatting, Cell Value Is, Equal to and enter =TODAY() in the formula box, then click the Format button and choose your formatting.

Rory
