The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Sheduled Task Excel file waits for user to click task button to gain focus, does not run automatically...

G'day,

I wish to run an excel workbook which has VBA code which runs automatically and generates a report from an externally generated .csv file. I want to run this automatically in the middle of the night so the report is ready when people come to work in the morning.

I set up windows scheduler to do this, however, when it runs, the excel waits for the user to click on the excel button in the task bar (it flashes to get their attention) to get focus, and then runs automatically. The issue is, this is not really automatic. This did not used to happen, as I have used this method before with previous versions of XP and NT.

My guess this is to stop evil virus writers, but this has really crippled the potential of report. Is there a way that I can run an excel report automatically?
