Browse All TopicsIn my Excel VBA editor, whenever I hit the double quote key (") it doesn't show up until I either start typing the thing that is supposed to go in the double quotes or hit the double quote key a second time, in which case both show up.
How can I revert to the previous behavior I had (don't know what I did to get into this mode) where a double quote just shows up when I hit the double quote key on my keyboard?
Also, as I'm typing code (e.g. "x = "), if I don't continue typing fast enough, it removes the space after the equal sign and shows "x =" in red because it is syntactically incorrect. How can I disable this behavior? I have played around with all the settings in tools -> options.
I have the following add-ins -- MZ-Tools v3.0, Smart Indenter v3.5, VBE Tools v2.0. However, the behavior continues with the add-ins unloaded so I don't believe these are causing the problem.
