Excel 64000 line limit

does excel still have a 64,000 line limit?  my file has 500,000 lines.  well, 100,000 of them are blanks separating lines.  400,000 lines.  I could break it up alphabetically, a-c, d-e, f-h etc to manipulate all the data by patient but that seems to be a pain to have 10 or so files.
