The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Need Assistance setting up a macro to loop

Asked by damon121897 in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Software

Hi,

I have a excel spreadsheet that looks at a cell and then goes to another tab, finds the number match, cuts that line moves to another workbook and then goes back.  I would like to have it repeat from Cells A2-A26.  I have tried a few diffrent loops but cannot get it to work.  I can make it work by doing the same code over and over 25 times changing the values, but would like to make life easier using loops.  Any help is appreciated.

Sub move()

    Dim What_To_Find As Variant
    What_To_Find = Sheets("Entry").Range("A2")
    messup = Sheets("entry").Range("B2")
    On Error GoTo Notfound
    Sheets("Database").Select
    If What_To_Find = 0 Then GoTo Notfound
    If messup = 0 Then GoTo Kill
    Range("A1:A65536").Find(What:=What_To_Find, LookIn:=xlValues, LookAt _
        :=xlWhole, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext, MatchCase:= _
        True, SearchFormat:=False).Activate
    Rows(ActiveCell.Row).Select
    Selection.Cut
    Windows("itemssold.xls").Activate
    Sheets("salessheet").Select
    Range("C65536").Select
    Selection.End(xlUp).Select
    ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Select
    Rows(ActiveCell.Row).Select
    ActiveSheet.Paste
    Range("C65536").Select
    Selection.End(xlUp).Select
    Windows("sales.xls").Activate
    Sheets("Entry").Select
    Range("B2").Select
    Selection.Copy
    Windows("itemssold.xls").Activate
    Sheets("sales").Select
    ActiveSheet.Paste
    Windows("sales.xls").Activate
    Sheets("Database").Select
    Selection.Delete Shift:=xlUp50
