Excel #NAME error shows instead of text

Asked by gsgi in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Software

If you click on a cell with the #NAME error, and look at the top in the edit box, you see the text.  Because the text begins with a - it shows as #NAME.  How do I make it show the text.

p.s. why it interprets the text as a formula, notice the = that preceeds the - in the text, I don;t know.Start Free Trial
